Holy SH!T these prices suck! i was just buying the federal 9mm(8.47 i think) and 45(14.xx) a few weeks ago and today the friggin 45 is 16+$$ and same for the 9, up over 2$. im glad i stocked up a while back. these new prices are crap.

I wish.... .45acp is never available at the 5 Wally's in driving distance and Best Prices are around $20-$35 for 50rds at Dicks or the three ranges that sell it in the Chicago Western Burbs...

I checked at Dicks today for 9mm;they had AE and UMC 50 rd boxes for $14.99...I passed.

I think things MAY be starting to turn around. My local Super WM in Elyria the last time I stopped had 21 boxes of the Federal 9mm, 18 boxes of the Federal .22LR value packs (550 rds.), 4 boxes of the WWB 50ct. 45ACP personal defense, 8 boxes of Remington 9mm, and 4 boxes of Federal .40S&W. Also 8-10 boxes of Remington .223 and some boxes of 357 and 44 mag. They also had 4 boxes of the Federal value packs (100 rds.) of the .223. This was the first time I had seen any of the .223 value packs in my WM. Bought the .223 value packs and left everything else. I am pretty much stocked up on everything else.

For whatever dumb reason, two months ago I thought things were letting up and supply was coming back. Wrong!
I can't buy 9mm at walmart to save my life. I've checked over 50 times since last January and have only bought 9mm once.
They always have tons of freaking 40 short & weak

bought 10 packs of 40sw (50 count) for 14 bucks a pop today at wally world... its junk ass federal, but for plinking im happy. plus, im tryin to stock up on brass so i can reload. (just got this gun)

for the 2nd time recent i got ammo at walmart and got 6 boxes only to have the clerk tell me "Get all you want!", completely disregarding the 6 box daily limit. worked out well for me. yesterday got 7 boxes(all they had) of federal 9mm and bulk box of .22. previously had a redneck guy(well in mississippi he was just a normal guy.....) at the gun counter encourage me to buy all i wanted. got 6 boxes of federal 9mm, 4 boxes of 40 and some other stuff, forget now. nice that they do that but it gets expensive WAY too fast.
this has just been another reminder to keep the other calibers i have stashed and stock up primarily on 9mm and a little 22 so i can keep the pocket damage down a little bit when plinking. 17+ $ for the cheapest .45 i can find isnt cutting it. i love shooting the .45 but wont pay that much.

Local store had several value packs of WWB yesterday so I picked up one for 20.00+ They had one box of .40 too but I reload those and only buy them if its a great deal.
