+1 on sticking with 7.62. The only problem I've seen with Saiga's right now is the price. Pre 11/4 the price was $300-$350. I can't remember where, but a week or two ago I came across a website that was still advertising $350. go figure, they are out of stock. Right now, you'd be hard-pressed to find a Saiga for under $500. Good luck with whatever you do.

Classic Arms used to have them.
Classic Arms Inc. They update almost every day, so should check their site to see what they've got in stock. The days of the $299 Saiga 7.62x39 are pretty much over. At one point, they even had modded Saiga's going for about $550, complete w/ tapco FCG, grip and stock, plus the bullet guide installed for you by their gunsmith next door. Their earlier conversions where they sent them out had quality issues. I've heard the ones by the gunsmith next door to them have been pretty good. You should also consider the AK's by IO Inc. inter ordnance AK-47 I've had pretty good experience with this AK and so have all the others who have purchased one. I got mine pre-11/4 for $577 OTD here in MD. Last edited by DizzyV6P; 01-05-2009 at 12:11 PM. |
