No, she did not make it to the range with me today.
AK was great and love it love it love it! I think everyone is providing great words of advise here. Thank you so much. At least now she is actually considering trying it out, which I believe is important, for many reasons.

Load up a mag with a couple of snap caps. Get her used to racking the bolt and general handling of the weapon. The pull the trigger on some snap caps to get used to the trigger. Then fire off 1 live round. Then fire off a full mag.

I think BillBrasky hit it right on the head... if you like the 357, the ak or ar either one will be a walk in the park. enjoy

My wife didn't want to shoot the AK at first , she loves shooting her xd , so she was content at that. I then took her and her sister as well as her sisters husband. As soon as I got her sister to shoot the rifle , she picked it up and fired it , thats all it took , she let a couple hundred rounds fly down range , and she loves it. I also get to build an AR now

I am going to have to buy more ammo, she is really looking forward to the 4th of July trip to the range.

Only because she feels ENABLED and can operate it in a proficient manner..... and can do it better than most guys at the range..  In-power your wife so she doesnt feel naked at the range!

Over the past week.5 you guys have done it. She now willing and eager to try it out. I'll take it slow, but I feel like this is going to cost me big $$$ in ammo in my near future.
I guess you have to be careful what you wish for! Happy 4th!

Update!
She did it! I did not push it and after about 30min she stood up and asked for the AK. I loaded 1 round, set her up and BAM! Then she started asking for more...
I started to get the camera out for Pics only to discover the memory card was at home! Anyway she also shot the once feared .45ACP in XD45, and 1911. Overall a great day, we had a great time together and plan on going back soon. Thanks again for all your support.
