HELP me talk my wife in shooting the AK-47+

My wife (5'2", 110lbs) dislikes ARs because they're so muzzle-heavy; the AK is her preferred rifle for the light weight...Glad you tried it.

call her the c-word and just run down range and have it be the only gun around and shell prolly pick it up and start shooting at you, like most women would

you are lucky she will go to the range.

msg for the lady:

i went from a .38 special snub nose to my XD .40

its far softer then the .38 and such an easy fire.

just try two shots, i gaurante the kick will be easy and you will QUICKLY get used to the accuracy. its a fantastic piece and your missing out if you dont fire the XD.


i have ZERO exprience with the ak. however its exoticness sounds cool, you only live once, give it a whirl.


plus it sounds like you will make your hubby happy. fun, excitment, happy husband. its win win!

that is never wrong! it is highly encouraged, imo. PUSHING her to do it, i would urge against, but ENCOURAGING her... that is fine, indeed.

SophiaLouise singing <I did it, I did it> We had a blast at the range, esp after the kid (not sure he was old enough to buy his own ammo) next to us left. He was making me very uncomfortable - can we say finger off the trigger when you are not shooting????

I realized I am much more comfortable at the outdoor range than at an indoor range. Not sure why...my first times shooting were always outdoors...so maybe that is why.

At any rate, I shot the AK and a lot of other guns I previously would not shoot. Loved them all. We had so much fun!!!!
