Yeah, it did. I wouldn't be opposed to a nice Polish or Bulgarian down the road. I just need to let the wife get used to this one for awhile.

Last night after work, I walked into a local gun shop to browse around and ended up walking out with a new AK.

She's no big deal, just an entry level wood stock Romanian in 7.62x39, 2 mags, bayonet which I will probably never use, mag pouch, sling, and cleaning kit.

I didn't like how light the furniture originally was so I put a couple coats of Minwax stain/sealer to darken it up and help seal the wood. I'm going to throw another coat on the butt to make it match the forends better. The flash from my camera made the butt look lighter than it really is. Haven't decided whether I'll finish it off with several coats of polyurethane or just leave it as. Anyway, I can't wait to get it out to the range on Sunday.
