No, thats why is lasts so long in storage. ComBloc is designed to last a minimum of 40 years in a sealed tin, regardless of where it is stored. Its pretty stable stuff.

I noticed that smell as well when I shot Wolf's mil-spec ammo. I'm pretty sure you got the same thing.
