100 round banana clip for AK

Saw a funny thing at the gun show today. A 100rd banana clip for a "standard" AK 7.62x39. The thing was a full half-circle! The gentleman at the booth didn't have an AK to attach it to, nor would he allow me to take any pics with my crappy cellphone - but imagining this thing on a weapon made me smile - if for only the absurdity of it.

100rd drums I can see... but this thing looked like someone took a couple of regular 40rd clips and welded them together. Anyone have any pics or these in action?

I thought that all "magazines" that clip onto the receiver rather than sliding into the receiver (like a handgun or on an AR) could be called a "clip"...

am I wrong?

yes you are a clip is something you put in an M1 Grand, or your hair, or load an SKS with and load some AK mags with.

a magazine is something that you insert into your pistol, AK, FAL or M1 carbine....

no biggie though a common mistake made by many people..

i read a review where a guy said it was nearly impossible to get the last few rounds into the magazine, and that it misfed a few times. I prefer military surplus 40rdrs.
