Range Time last Friday...
The railed dust cover did not impress me... probably going back to the original dust cover and open sights... it is an AK after all.
The 40 round European metal mags I bought from centerfire worked great! 240 rounds of Wolf black box and military classic with no misfeeds jams etc. Who says an AK is not accurate? my buddy that was shooting with me has a WASR but is still fairly new to shooting. I put 35 of 40 rounds into an 8 inch paper plate using the open sights at about 35 or 40 yards, unsupported. In the conversation following that round I illustrated my point to my buddy by placing the paper plate over his chest :O he got my point then we broke out the mosin and was shooting gallon water jugs at about 170 yards open sights, 300 rounds or better of 7.62 x39... 20 rounds of 7.62 x 54R lol |

Now that's funny! No one at the range was brave enough to try my Mosin the day I took it out..
