Hello AK, come to PAPA!
I put down a deposit for an AK today. a WASR with a bayonette, 2 mags, strap and some other toys. totalled out to be $450. it's a nice piece, but i want to refinish the wood on it.
whats funny is that the gun shop i normally go to wanted $545 for the same one and it was all beat up and came with just one mag..rip off.

450 is what i got my folding wasr for with only one mag which I believe is busted because it only holds 25 rounds even though it matches the 30 rounders i have, no sling, but black composite and a fully functional sidefolder (fires folded or extended). That's a reasonable price from what i've been shopping around for as well. Definitely worth it to stock up while you can.

i've got 2 weeks to pay it off, at least its on hold. They are also selling 7.62 for $5 a box - not bad. i will stock up. prices are going up here.

going up everywhere... welcome to the club
 if you want some great 40 round mags cheap centerfire has 4 40s for 49.99 I have bought 2 of the 4 packs so far and the mags I received don't look like they have ever been used and function flawlessly. put 240 rounds through them yesterday |

the ak has alot of this heavy grease on some parts of it. what do i use to get rid of it? a typical field stripping? i went to the range today and saw it. There is a little magazine wobble, but no cants, no nothing...
the bayonet needs some cleaning/sharpening
