Ok, i really want a Yugoslavian AK because i like the fit and finish and it feels like a much more solid "assault weapon" BUT they are harder to find. I want the wood stock, not a fold under (unless i am convinced otherwise).

The Romanians are more widely available in Vegas and are about $100 - $150 cheaper. They seem more flimsy and not built as well. Also, i have read that they do not accept the 30 round mags.

The election is coming up soon and I want to have one before November so I need to have an idea of how much to save.

I know they will both fire, but I am not the type of person to just settle...so i need opinions of AK owners..

and no, i cannot afford a chinese or an arsenal.

I bought an underfolder because I wanted to be able to hide the rifle in a tennis racket bag or similar to make it more concealable.

oh about the guns Yugos dont have crome lined barrels not sure if you care about that or not. both are going to fire every time you pull the trigger it is an AK after all.

neither are really the cream of the crop as AKs go but an $800 ak will shoot just the same as a $400 AK... its up to you and your budget really!

i would go with an AK74 if I where you ammo is cheaper

i have both .. but i shoot my Romanian more, i don't know why i just do .. and it fits 30 rnds and 40 rnds .. you are probably thinking about those WASR-10 single stack ak's.

if you really like the yugo and can't find one . have you tried looking online?
there's is nothing wrong with going with the Romanian either ...... just cause it is cheaper doesn't mean it won't work ..... sometimes you get lemons.

I have 2 Romanians,their both great shooters.I put a side folder on one and left the wood stock on the other.I really enjoy shooting them.As said before,ALL AK's will go bang everytime it just depends on what you want.Their are ones with a better finish to them,but they all work.

A yugo will be $699 and a romanian like $450. I know both will shoot. I think i am more fixed on the fit and finish.
