AK's are great aren't they?
I've recently been very seriously considering a new AR and I just realized why I don't have one yet... I had a romanian ak-47 after 5000+ with out a single malfuntion of any kind, even with it being dirty and basically abused... today between a couple of forums that I daily read, I see 3 different cases of my "AR had problems" threads. I just thought that I would share that I no longer want an AR because I've never read or heard of any such problems with a decent AK(especially after the abuse that I put mine through). So, long live the AK-47.
Thank you |

of course ak's are great . but then we also have one AR (RRA) out of my 6 ak's . it wouldn't hurt having one . plus ours hasn't jammed or gave us problems yet . so we are happy . sometimes you just get lemons ..

yeah i love my AK. i have an AR as well, a bushmaster. its not top end but it is certainly no slouch of a weapon. but when the zombies begin their ploy to take over the world, you can bet your arse i'm reaching for the AK. i'll use the AR to hunt for food or whatever, but when the swarming masses of the undead surround me, i'm grabbing the chopper(ha slang!).

Just got me the best of both worlds, a Bulgarian SLR106FR. Cost as much as an AR, and has a front sight that's canted enough to only shoot straight with the front sight pushed all the way left, but DAMN!!
62gr Wolf was actually hitting gopher poppers at 300m about half the time, and that's with open sights!! I love the thing! I'll probably have AZEX fix the front sight post, but other than that, I've found my new go-to 556 (that is if the zombies make it past the 600-1000yd range that my heavy 700AICS watches, then inside 200-600 where my SPR AR does watch to the 200-10yd range, then it'll be the XD45C's turn!!)
