And there is no such thing as a 'permanent wood stock' on AKs .

I like full stocks but i also like side folders. I had an AMD65 that i sold simply because i could not convert it to a full stock without a reciever re-build (and that fore grip).
I have a tapco side folding stock and dont notice any accuracy problems with it. If you use the AK as it was meant (0 to 100 yards or so) you will not really notice any accuracy issues. I say buy the full stock and dress it up later.

Remenber, not all FFLs get a good price break because they don't deal in volume. So he buys 5 WaSRs at $249 each, plus shipping....MSRP on these are about $450 with all accessories and 2 30rd mags......I know that my local FFL buddy gets WaSR 10s for $289 each, he sells them for $399 with 120rd of ammo, unless he puts add ons such as a folding stock or optics and they sell for $459...he sells He sells Sig pistols cheaper than Glocks, but Golcks are cheaper than his XDs. Figure that one out....his prices are usually $60 more than he pays after shipping for each firearm...he is also one of the few that will pay up to market/collector value for a firearm someone wants to sell, and again, his mark up is only $50....and thats not much for a 'mom and pop' operation to survive on, but his service is outstanding and even though I usually pay his price (no mark up), i have no qualms paying what he has listed in his cases for that single reason. I bought a Ruger 10/22 from him for $250, even though WalMart had the same gun on sale for $189 once..I appreciate his services, friendship, and business more than finding a 'cheap deal'.

Just got a price for a sidefolder from a local shop. $459. I want a fixed wooden stock though. Says they are having trouble finding one?
