How does a gas tube become crooked? I have a tapco upped hand guard w/piccatiny rail and if you look at it from the top it looks crooked. It doesn't effect anything now , but i'm looking into a EOTECH to mount on it, wouldnt it make the red dot be off center? Or should I look into putting an ultimak tube cover that clamps to the barrel , to staighten it out? I have to take some pics. in a smaller format , so i"ll try to get them up asap. Any ideas? please let me know.

Thats why you don't go cheap....get an Ultimak gas tube or a side mount set up, or a Tantal style rail (only if you have a fixed stock rear trunnion). It could be that your gas system is crooked, the upper hand guard flanges are off center to the tube, or it could be the Tapco crap. Either way, with an optic, you still have to zero it and its probably not as much as you think...
