WASR 22 Questions
Being from commiefornia, i'm total newb to AK style things other than they look sweet. Now that the economic stimulus boondoggle is on its way tomorrow, i had toyed with the idea of getting an AK OLL, but now i'm not sure i want to deal with 922(r) compliance, and the legal aspect of being legal but having to explain the law at the range etc....
So i started looking into the WASR 22, since rimfires are exempt from commiefornia's AWB, not to mention the obvious benefit of being real cheap to shoot. So i was thinking if this gives me the look and feel i'm looking for with less hassle and being cheaper, why the heck not. so without further ado.. a few questions about the WASR 22... 1. is it a full size AK just chambered in 22lr or is it smaller than a normal AK? 2. is it possible to change the furniture on the wasr22 from the dragunov stock to the typical synthetic AK stock/handguard? 3. whats the quality on them? they are listed as "trainer" rifles. are they of less quality than the other WASR's?

are you able to get over ten round mags because its a rim fire? my guess is no but i dont live there.

Yes they are real AKs and take all AK furniture and accessories....most have feeding issues that are easily corrected. And they have a 22 calibre 10rd mag stuffed inside a 30rd 5.56 mag body.
