Too early to tell, but it could be.
Here is a range report from today.

FINALLY! got to go shooting today. I had changes in scheduling on two separate occasions that delayed my first test firing of this rifle. I kept thinking, OK this is the day and then something always seemed to cancel the plans! Weird.
Another windy day and it really wasn't a good day to shoot for accuracy, but I had to try this rifle out. I was mostly curious how the rifle functioned and how it felt to fire it. I drove out to the shooting spot and I loaded up a mag with a handful of rounds and shucked in a round from the mag. First shot...........click! Didn't fire and I had that bad feeling creep over me. I rack the slide and ejected the round. No primer indent, just a clean round. Uh oh... and I thought maybe a broken firing pin or other trouble. Maybe the rifle doesn't like Wolf .223? Well I load up again and this time I really let the recoil spring close the action sharply. Squeeze the trigger and Boomb!!! It fired and I see dirt kick up in the distance. Oh great! Seems, I rode the bolt slowly home on the first round and the bolt probably wasn't fully seated. After I figured out that a quick tug and sharp release was needed to properly cycle the action, now the rifle ran perfectly. The pump action is smooth and .223 extraction was very positive. Low recoil sensation and the rifle dosen't get nearly as hot as a semi auto. Balance is more towards the muzzle, but it wasn't a distraction. I could fire the rifle one handed like a single shot pistol. Spent cases are cool to the touch and you don't have to go looking all over the place to pick up your brass. 10 carefully aimed shots took quite a bit more time to go through than shooting in semi auto mode. I found that you work the action on the first shot and then you place your forward hand in the more traditional area behind the pump handle. A little different, but I got used to it quickly. I didn't get to shoot for groups because of the danged wind, but I did get baseball size groups at 25 yards from a informal sitting postition. My first shots were low right, but using my SKS/AK sight tool got me closer to point of aim. Windage adjustment was extra difficult, but with some hard turning the sight was adjusted. I'll try again later for groups from a distance with open sights and will also try using the side scope mount using the set up I already have for my Saiga 7.62x39. Trigger pull, although stagey and creepy was decent and fairly light. The only complaint is the rear sight which I found to be poorly designed and not condusive to accuracy. A peep or any other set up would be ideal. I actually wish it was mounted on the original sight base and not on the receiver cover (why did they do that?). The thin pistol grip is a slight distraction too, but I guess it could be easily changed. Overall I rate the rifle a solid 7 1/2 on the HepCat scale (10 being the best). I like it, it's different and it saves on ammo. Very fun and worth what I paid for it! No thoughts at all to convert to semi auto.
