They tell you they are not going to tax your family.
No, they’re just going to tax “businesses”! So unless you buy something from a “business”, like groceries or clothes or gasoline … or unless you get a paycheck from a big or a small “business”, don’t worry … it’s not going to affect you.

Romys build up nicely with a little work. I always use the Tapco G2 FCGs. I like the double hook personally. Again Tapco makes a fine gas piston. Don't know about flats I like to use NDS receivers. Stick with the com bloc magazines. They are the most reliable. The US parts I use the most are receiver, FCG, slant brake, piston, pistol grips and or mag floorplates.

Stay away from us mags or mag parts. The problem could arise if you ever go to a shoot and non us mags are around or if you are shooting with another friend who has an ak and is not using us mags. Not that it is likely to happen but the batf could show up. Hell look at the guy who is now facing a huge fine because his ar15 broke and went full auto for a burst. A piston is a piston nothing more or less. As far as a trigger group I prefer the g2 double hook so I can cut the second slot in my receiver so it has no overtravel. Try akbuilder flats I have had good luck with them in the past.

I understand the parts count, and am not planning to have the mag be part of meeting 922. But am wondering if any of the US stuff is quality.
I've been to akbuilder .. they have a descent selection. I'll keep them in mind.

<strike>Have you ran across measurements for a flat prior to bending that show the proper location of holes without taking bend allowance into account ?? In otherwords, a drawing that could be transfered to sheet stock for a totally from scratch build.</strike> I found what I was looking for!!

like speedracer said, stay away from US mags, they're crap.

To get your parts count up, I would also stay away from doing piston jobs and just swap out the pistol grip with a US made one. Use a US muzzle break of your choice (there are plenty of verions out there), fold your own US flat and call it a day.

When I build mine I tend to use Tapco single hook triggers, the arsenal one takes fitting and therefore is crap in my world.
