i linked K-Var because they offer the stocks in Warsaw length and NATO length (1.5" longer) and everyone gets the stuff from them. If you want a 'folder' look without it actually folding, try

ACE LTD. USA

and for more 'goodies'

On my WASR, I took a sander and 120 grit. Once sanded lightly, I put red oak stain on it, followed by several coats of floor grade poly. (not spray on kind, I just don't think it's as durable or thick.

I'll have to get pictures soon.

Now that I think about it, I should have put something under the poly, like the hammer and sickle.

Something else that might have been cool to do would have been to burn a design into the wood before the poly.

I like the Tapco stuff, and I think they are in Kennesaw and IIRC you are in the atlanta area so you might be able to save on shipping. There are also usually people selling that kind of stuff at all the gun shows.

I personally like the grain pattern on that rifle of yours I would sand and refinish it before you go and spend alot on poly unless you really like that stuff. remember your cleaning kit won't have a rear stock compartment on most of those poly buttstocks. unless you get the newer one that does I think K-var makes it.
