Which of these is the better gun?
Ok I've got a choice for four underfolders.
1) Yugo AK-47 7.62x39 Rifle with underfolding stock by Century Arms
2) PolyTech Clone AK-47 Underfolding Rifle 7.62x39 (rmory USA 1.6 thick receiver / US made fire control group.)
3) AK-47 AKMS Hard Wood Underfolder Rifle 7.62x39 (US Made Armory USA stamped receiver / US made single hook fire control group.)
4) Hungarian AK-47 AMMS Underfolding Stock Rifle 7.62X39 (US Made Armory USA receiver, has US made fire control group)
I'd like your opinions. I love Ak's but I cannot for life of me keep up with all the variations. I have a Yugo M70 B1 now and a Wasr10. I love the look of the underfolds, and these are close to me.

Out of those, I'd take the Hungarian. The action on mine is the smoothest out of my AK's which includes a Yugo underfolder and several Romy G's.
I also enjoy the chrome lined barrel, unlike the Yugos.

i would go with the hungarian model my self ! you should check out the AK Forum tons of good info over there on about every country that made AK's/AK Variants
i know the other guy got flammed and had his thread locked for that but you can only expect a limited amount of knowledge on from a message board dedicated to XD's.

#2, heavy duty rifle, China has been building them longer than any of the others, Chinese guns are 'over built', they follow the original AK design except its in a stamped receiver. Barrel shanks are huge, the only difference between the military models and civilian models are the trigger group. I understand that this is a kit built gun as described, the Chinese guns are very high quality that you can get pretty cheap. And the stocks set the rifle a tad higher on the shoulder-easier to get on the sights. I own 4 of these guns A Polytech underfolder, NHM-91, and a MAK90, and a 'mut' that looks like a Yugo 'krink' underfolder.
#4 Hungarians follow the Polish with their quality of firearms, a Polish gun wasn't on the list. Except for the Polish AKM and Egyptian Maadi, they are on par with the best the Sovs ever produced. And all standard AKM parts fit. I own 3 Hungarian rifles, 2 of them 100% Hungarian guns built by FEG.
#3 Not enough info-its just an AKMS- Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, German, Chinese, Egyptian, Syrian, Iraqi, Korean, Russian, Yugoslavian, Iranian, Pakistani...wheres the kit from?? All it says in its a stamped under folder.....
#1 Yugoslavian guns are too part specific. Don't understand why it needs an RPK trunnion or receiver. I think Century did a so so job on the guns. In my honest opinion, the quality of the completed firearm is no better than a WaSR, its 'uniqueness' makes it worth while. The Yugoslavians make good guns, but they do leave a lot to be desired. I own 2 of them M70, M70AB2 and an M95.
These are my opinions, and my opinions alone through personal experience with all but 1 (#3) of the these guns. I still think they are inferior to a Bulgarian AKS-74 or a Wz88 Tantal, but my heart keeps me with the bulgarian AK-74.

No you don't, because you will want all the 5,45 guns after that-trust me-thats how I got hooked....If you can swing it, get one-its definitely worth it. I've bought 6 AKS-74 kits from them and barrels from K-VAR to make an RPK-74, AKS-74U, and an AKS-104

lol im already hooked on the 74, cheap ammo is a major plus. do you have a builder build yours or do you build them your self? a bulgarian kit is a major defent on the next things to purchase list though lol. along with a krink eventually.
im thinking about getting into building them eventually i think the most expensive item would be the press, then the specialized tools.
