My new AK. How'd I do?

Well, I had asked you guys a while back about a Poly-Tech deal I had the chance to get, and you said it was a good deal, so I took the plunge. I got this Poly-Tech for $500 OTD. I haven't shot it yet, but I have 2 cans of 7.62 waiting for the chance to pop my AK cherry. Einheit, tell me how I did. Here's some pics:

Nice looking rifle! I have not seen a Poly with that style of a side folding stock. Who imported the rifle (it will be stamped somewhere on the receiver)?

you did good! That is a Chinese AKS-47. There were 2 types of side folding stocks offered, and this one is the one I see the most...

It was imported by KFS, out of Atlanta.

Nice! I'm glad you got a KFS import. I was afraid it might have been a BWest Polytech. To my understanding, BWest imported complete Polytech rifles, but they also produced receivers for some rifles. The receivers were sent to china and Polyteck built on them. However, the receivers were known to be soft a failing after 2000 rounds.

Anyway, you did real good. That's one hell of a good price.

I am also curious as to whether or not it is pre or post ban. It does not have a lug, which would lead me to believe it was post-ban. However, from some reading from a Google search, it also has some pre-ban characteristics.

Not all ChiComs had under folding bayonets......it looks like it has a lug at the gas port, which means it would use the first pattern bayonets....

You should be able to. I tell you what, send me your info and I'll ship one to you, if it fits-send me money, if not, send it back...I'll even pay for the return shipping.
