AK newb ala brainz!
Dear XDTalk folks,
You are just about the only decent people on the internet. Just for the record: The internet is grossly disappointing. I'm trying to find a good resource for info on AK-47-patterned rifles. My usual search techniques yield nothing but friggin' airsoft forums. Also for the record: I hate airsoft with a bloodthirsty passion. I wanna know what functional (if any) differences there are between the various kinds of AK-patterned rifles out there. What makes a WASR10 different from a Saiga or a Yugo? I want very specific information. I'm not one of those putzes who asks: "WHAT IS TEH BEST RAHFUL?" I like to know specific, real information to help me make sound judgments. I don't wanna dig through a mall ninja-infested web forum. I want a clear and real direction on hard info related to an AK. I hunger for knowledge like an African refugee child. Feed me! An AK is an AK is an AK, period. Yugoslavian, Russian, Hungarian, Chinese, Polish, Finnish, Romanian, Iraqi, Bulgarian, E German, Syrian, Afghanistan, N Korean....Theres a few I have left out...function is the same, parts and furniture differ, some parts are model specific to specific countrys. There are 4 basic AKs, the AK-47, the AKM-47, AK-74, and the AK-100 series. Then there are the 'other' AKs. Finland's Rk/Valmet series (Israeli Galil is the same gun), India's INSAS (AK-7).....
