You should check this page, especially the last trouble item and the proposed solutions. I know you may not have a Romanian AK but still, this is good info.

Colson
FCG = Fire Control Group. This is the hammer, trigger, and disconnecter.

If you're not having "trigger slap", why would you want to "tune up" your trigger?

ok i am no expert, i watched the AGI ak trigger job video a while back and did one on my wasr3. a week ago i watched the AR-15 AGI trigger job vid and had some problems with my FCG. the AGI guy said that ak and ar 15 triggers jobs are almost the same basic idea. (grinding/polishing areas) after doing my ar trigger job i would "feather" the trigger like you said releasing it very slowly and the hammer would drop, would not stay cocked, etc. sounds like you are having a disconnector problem, i took the dremel to the disconnect and voila problem fixed. again just a suggestion.

Hi
Actually....when I "feather" the trigger is when it seemed to double.. but it happens so fast its hard to tell actually whats happening if I "slap" the trigger....when I do a "crisp" pull and hold the trigger back and release it is OK and the hammer does not drop and I hear the sear catch the hammer and hold.
But thanks for the info.
