Picked up my Arsenal SLR-107FR today, finally!
I'm pretty happy with it, although I haven't shot it yet. The front sight is slightly canted clockwise a few degrees which is very dissapointing, but it's not as bad as some of the horror story pics I've seen. I put on a Bulgarian "AK-74" style crescent cut muzzle brake already. The bayonet is used.

Let us know if you are able to get it sighted in with that canted front sight base.

IMHO a canted sight on such a high end piece of gear is unnacceptable. I know its an AK, but for the love of God they should do better than century does. that said, that is one sexy beast of a rifle.

I took better pics.
Here it is with the Bulgarian bayonet and a Bulgarian crescent cut AK-74 style muzzle brake (24x1.5mm threads). I intend to shoot it with no brake, the RPK style brake that came with the gun, then the AK-74 brake to see what the difference is. Will report on that later. There is some wierdness to the front sight. It appears straight but the crescent part wasn't machined or cast evenly (not sure which). I'm anxious to get out and shoot this thing. I like the two stage trigger pull although it feels gritty. My only other AK experience is with a Saiga AK conversion and a Saiga 12. Both of them have smooth trigger pulls but it's harder to feel the breaking point. If it shoots straight with iron sights out of the box, I'll be happy with it. I intend to mount an optic on it but hey, glass can break. ![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, the front sight seems straight, but it looks a little funny. ![]()
