Saiga Conversion is Done...ish. (Pic)

All that's left is the bullet guide and maybe a paint job on the bottom of the receiver. Hand-cycling the bolt makes it hang on the hammer, but a strong "pull and let fly" charging of the handle makes it load normally. If it doesn't shoot itself smooth I might have to file on the hammer face a tad. If I get bored some time I'll vent the handguard.

Quick pic - I'll take better ones after I get some real AK mags and a bullet guide installed. In the mean time, where's the cheapest place to pick up some master molder mags?



Anyway, it was a fun project to be sure, and I like the results. If I see another cheap one at the Tulsa show next month I might have to convert a backup. I figure if you're going to hoard another caliber and mags, might as well hav another gun to shoot them with, right?

any ideas of where I can pick up a pistol grip for my Saiga-12?
