They are Romanian AK-47 "Kits" the only parts missing are the receivers. The old rivets will be removed, and a new receivers will be bent. The old parts will be riveted to the new receiver. Resulting in more of these:

Yup, these are the $89 centerfire kits. Only 2 of these kits are for me. 3 are for a friend, and one for my little brother. The kits are in better shape than I expected, so I'll be ordering a couple more.

Nice! So what is your source for receivers?

I'd be buying at least one, but I just bought the rest of my AR parts this week...

The receivers are made from "flats" that are bent in a fixture with a shop press. They're then heat-treated in a kiln to harden them. I'm working on getting a FFL so that I can start manufacturing them and selling them.

Funny, I've been researching to do the same. I found some parts that are supposed to have excellent bores, etc for $139. But $89 is a great deal. What is your assessment of the bores, etc?

The bores are great. They're bright and shiny. I'll try and take some pics of some bullet tests in them. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd never even been fired.
