You actually can convert HK G3 mags to work with them, not sure about the FAL mags though.

ok after many many years i broke down and got an ak-74 5.45x39 got it Wednesday night took it sunday morning to the range and lord and behold the trigger broke

so i talk to the guy that sold it to me and we did an even exchange for a AK-47 7.62x39
don't get me wrong the AK-74 5.45x39 was amazing less recoil than
my AR-15 .223

so hear are the picks of my used Romanian AK-47 wasp 10/63
i will be making some mods to it in the next few months
