couple Tantal Pics and range report
finally got to take my Polish Tantal out today. Had several FTE/spent case being stuck in the chamber. i figured i was going to have these problems because of the way action would cycle with ammo by hand. I took it home cleaned the heck out of the chamber with an 8mm brass bore brush and now it cycles like a champ by hand! I had to drift the front sight over a bit when i got home it kept shooting to the right
wasnt really checking out the accuracy of the 5.45x39 round it was more of a functional check to make sure the dang thing actually fired lol. recoil is pretty much non exsitant(sp) with the stock folded up rapid fire felt like shooting a pistol lol. im pretty sold on this round here are some pics.    here is a spent bullet after hitting a 2x4, i did not notice any tumbling in the exit holes that the round is famous for, the steel core is missing and have no idea how it left the case like that lol

Uhg....Silver bear ammo....you suck, I'm just about out! Hey, make sure your mags is good. I have issues with Polish Steels in my Bulgy and double feeds with 2 of 12 Polish polymer mags. Swapped the followers around with some extra Bulgy mags and they work 100% now. and unless you have surplus ammo, it takes more than a 2x4 to get it to tumble. Too much resistance from the grains in the wood-spaced out plywood works great.
