hk style diopter sights on an ak?

can it be done without issues or will it sit too high? it just seems like it would be nicer at lining up than standard sights if i sound new or retarded its because i am lol

The HK is the best 'battle' sight there is. Problem is the movement of the top cover during cycling can throw you off some. You can shorten the HK style sight to work, but its better when you mount the front sight on the gas block. You gain a great sight, but shorten the radius and move it behind the muzzle a bit too far to take advantage of the sights.

Yes, you can do it. the goof ball at Blackthorne/Vulcan/Hesse did it all the time. You can retro fit AKSU sights also.
