Must just be the camera angle or something ???
My suppressor doesn't have a problem.

Might be just the shadow under it messing with me. Nice toy.

Nice. How much did those mods set you back? I'll like the handguard rails. Does it allow the use of the iron sights?

With the oddball shorter gas tube length of the German Weiger design, most AK stuff won't fit the forend on this particular model.
So, you're extremely limited in your choices, but the Samson K-rail attaches at the barrel trunion and works well on it, although I did have to trim it a little to fit too, but wasn't anything major.
Yes, iron sights work on it.
There's a channel through the middle of the rail that is inline with the iron's so it doesn't interfere with them and is how I shoot it, although I would like to get a front sight with tritium for it sometime.
The Buttstock itself is a magpul moe, and the stock extension and grip is ATI.
To some, they say it's tacti-fool, but the original furniture really stunk, and I wasn't even a little satisfied with it in its' original form, so I changed what I didn't like about it to something I could live with.
I don't hang a lot of stuff on any of my guns and don't dream about roving bands of zombies throughout the countryside, but I happen to like the way that AK looks.
I don't know of another one like it anywhere.
But the main thing for me, it's balanced, comfortable, adaptable, reliable and plenty accurate enough.
I don't know what more to ask.

what did you do with the take furniture?? Wanna sell??
I like how you have it set up for the most part. My brother bought one from them around the same time. CAI stamp on the right side with a defaced WaSR stamp. Left side is the same as yours, but with IO's name and location on it. And his trunnion has whats left off the original 1987 serial....

IIRC, I mailed you the forend pieces from it a long time ago.
But I've slept since then and maybe it wasn't you I gave it to. memory wants to say it was, but like I said, that was several years ago.
The grip and buttstock went to a buddy of mine. He doesn't have the gun anymore, so I don't know where it is at this point.

I just bought IO Inc Hellhound and am wondering if regular AK parts will fit on the buttstock...i.e. changing it out for a folding or telescoping one
