I was merely implying that WASRs at some point were considered bargain basement AKs, then there are those in the middle. The Hello Clicky is priced in the middle tier but from what little I can see, the rifle does not justify the price considering there are cheaper better options (like the WASR).

IMO the 2 best deals are the AMD and the WASR.
ya know... I really should stop defending the wasr and let people gather around like little rapscallions and talk them down online so people stop buying them letting people that feel the need to spend more go ahead and do that. lol

IO doesn't sell scrubbed WASRs, these days their guns are all new and made in the US. They used imported parts kits early on and years ago, that's ancient past.
I have one of their AK47s and it works fine.

Not a gamble at all. They guarantee 2" groups at 00 yards with the iron sights. Sounds like an easy out if things don't pan out to me. And yes, made in USA.

Well crap, even a bent barrel and canted sights can guarantee sub MOA at "00" yards.

really....look at the weiger clones.....ever wonder why there is scrubbed stamps on the right side of the receiver?? It used to say WaSR Cugir....i have seen many of their weapons and handled many of the weapons that were imported that they ordered. I also know who builds their weapons and where the parts come from. Would you like a list if parts and their origin?? The builders?? Last time you've been to their 'shop' in Monroe?? And show me where you can find all the US made parts to assemble an AK...you can't because they don't exist. US receiver, barrel, gas piston, FCG, furniture, mags. Carrier, bolt, springs, gas block, trunnions, sights, dust cover, cover latch, hand-guard retainer/latch, gas tube, recoil spring guide and retainer, firing pin, extractor, some safety levers.
Now, do I need to go to my FFL and take pics of weapons shipped from them as late as january that have import stamps/CAI mark remains?? No better than any Romanian offered...just more $$ for fluff

Here are some pictures of my STG Weiger IOinc gun.
It was bought new in late 2008.
Since then I have replaced all of the furniture because what came on it was pure junk, but I am happy with it now, and it is very accurate and has been 100% reliable.
As always, your milage may vary, take it for what it's worth, yada yada yada.
