its a lot darker than I wanted. and what was green on the practice wood turned the laminated stock almost black. : /

edit: ok somehow... I was going to wet sand it. and most of it wiped off. the wood fore grip has a bit of green as does the gas tube piece. the stock doesn't seem to have taken much at all.

ill try again later I might need a more aggressive sandpaper before I try to dye it.

did you try mixing the green with yellow? that might help lighten it up a bit.

I poured straight yellow and added green a few drops at a time.

on the practice wood I found it came out to be a nice olive color on the laminated parts it was a dark green.

doesn't matter though it didn't stay. most wiped off and the rest came off with 320 grit. the fore grip parts are darker and match a bit better than they did.

I might just buy new.

Looks great. I'm really starting to love wood again. Anyone else over the "Tacticool" phase?

I was never into it. I don't see the point of strapping 1000 bucks and 10 extra pounds worth of plastics, lights, lasers, bungee cords, can openers, scissors, and toothpicks onto an AK.
