Chrome or stainless bolt

Does stripping the blue off the bolt carrier increase rust? I like the way a chrome bolt carrier looks in an AK, but I'm just skeptical to try it to mine if the cosmetic value decreases the usability.

I havent even touched mine since my pics I showed. Just looked and no rust on them, one is stored outside too

of course you want a coat of oil or something on it before you store it depending on where you live too

I wouldnt waste time or money on chrome. plus what if something happens to the carrier and now your bolt wont opperate correctly because of the chrome, or it gets lost or somehow ruined. I would leave it alone, do it yourself and try not to ruin anything. these parts have to be fitted together, you cant just go out and buy a new carrier and hope your bolt will just work it will need to be headspaced. so the less you do the better
