Then there might be a pin that goes through those slots and through the sight base - knock out the pin
And then it just rotates a quarter turn and slide off.
Assuming that bastard that butchered the gun didn't JB weld it on . . . or worse: actually weld it on.
I've never used those things -- my SKS tends to rattle em loose . . . so lord knows what Bubba did to get it to stay on.
Take it off. Then be environmentally conscious and drop it in the recycling bin. (No, don't put a new one on -- they're rubbish.)
