I really don't like the way that an AR-15 style stock looks on an AK, as functional as it is.

People keep saying that the Tapco is plastic, now do they mean Polymer? There is a HUGE difference between the two. I think I'm just going to go down to Cheaper than Dirt's retail store to check out the tapco stock for myself.
We generally don't like cheaper than dirt just because of their obamamania price gouging...that having been said if I lived near their retail store I would be tempted to drop in and say "hello."

It would be advantageous to you to actually look at the stocks before you buy.

I recommend either getting the Ace stock system (which I actually use...Ace FX for me) or if you want to go cheap than just get a Kvar/tapco fixed stock. I recommend Nato length ...I had a tapco warsaw length and it was a little small for me (I'm 6' with average length of pull).

The tapco folding stock you linked has a history of breaking. It is also a little flimsy (I doubt it would be a good place to mount a sling) Tapco folding stock also sucks - forum.Saiga-12.com

I think the folding mechanism is completely plastic.

You think there prices are bad online? Check out their retail store, 66 for 100 rounds of .45acp WWB! Same **** you get at walmart for 30-33. Ammo is horrible there.
Not all the Prices are terrible at cheaper than dirt, but they have been rising recently, there CAA handguard I am looking at is cheaper than anywhere else I have found, but not the right color, might just duracoat everything to ensure its all the same shade of OD.
