Replacement bolt carrier

I have a vector that I bought about 2 years ago. I think it is a romanian build. I am very happy with it, but the bolt carrier is black and has some rough spots that look like it was pitted. I would like to have a polished carrier. Do I have to buy a whole parts kit? Does anyone sell just the bolt carrier? Have you polished yours?

Thanks

I have a WASR that was black and pitted like yours. Mine also had some machine marks left in it. I used a wire wheel to knock of the black paint or whatever it is(Not blue) and then sanded forever to get rid of the marks and pits. I used some Eagle One never dull to polish her up a bit. Mine is far from perfect but I think it looks allot better than it did before. Keep in mind you only need to work the small area of the bolt that is visible. Good luck

I polished the carrier on one of my G builds and used a cold blue called Vans Cold Blue.
It could be better, but basically I removed the old hot blue and sanded down to base metal till it was pretty smooth then put the cold blue on and rubbed it in with 0000 steel wool

That looks nice. I never considered cold blue, but I do like yours.
