No, it's correct for this model. Did you look at the pics higher up the thread? It's necessary for magazine clearance.

of course if it does not get banned per the manager, you need to always bring the AMD with you to say hello to the RSO.

what a pansy. my stock rock river .308 puts out a stupid loud band and a great wave. gotta show that wuss what real noise is.. noise on a gun range.. idiot.

Of couse, if you were shooting some super loud rifle on a "pistol" range then i can see mayne being asked to move over to the rifle area.. sounds like you just have a wuss RSO though.

the brake on the AMD is loud. Its dubbed the 'snake' for that very reason. It makes a gawd awful noise. Go shoot it with out ear protection and see. It has a very unique sound. You don't get the full effect when shooting it yourself, let someone else shoot it and stand off to the side about 20'.

I see you have the 2 piece extension, you could change the brake, but I like the noise. I have one on an AK-74 and on a pieced together Mosin M44. I'll try to get a night shot of the Mosin being fired, the sound wave actually distorts the fire ball from the muzzle. Its makes a nice '3 pronged' flash, but the blast out of the sides is wider the farther it gets from the muzzle. And you can actually see the sound wave in the flame.

That range officer needs to nut up. I've been at the local indoor range with people shooting a 50BMG. I think it was a Barret.

It built on a NoDakSpud receiver, not bent from a flat. First build, so I figured make it as easy as possible.
