Broke her in today
Well after the first range stopped me from shooting steel bullets, I was finally able to take out my new Saiga 7.62 to the indoor range.
It sucks that it was only 25 yards, but none the less awesome! Well the very first round was a "fail to fire". I ejected the round to see it was struck, but did not fire. Serves me right for using the "cheap stuff". All other rounds fired true. I can't wait to do it again.

glad to see you had a good time! are you going to convert it? As far as the ammo goes, it was probably just a light primer strike. I bet if you would have tried to shoot that round again it would have went off

I can't do a full convert legally, Kalifornia. However, I will probably tweek it and put some accessories on it from suggestions on a previous post. I am thinking quad rail, tac scope, maybe even a bipod down the line. I already put on a skeleton stock to give me a pistol-like grip.
I was wondering the same about the ammo. I wasn't quite sure, so it was best to leave it alone.

 My buddy helped me with the camo, the skeleton stock is nice. When I get a little extra money, I will get a scope, a quad rail and maybe a bipod.

thats the raa stock right? if it is you can say it came that way. if you have changed out anything you need to check your 922r compliance laws.
