man for 175? i would get a SKB or a pelican case and their the best case/protection money can buy verse a bag

SKB you want for your ak is 2skb-4010

for pelican Pelican™*Products*1700*Long Case

I prefer pelican, vs skb. (for guns, for music different story)

Rectangular hardshell guitar case. Something like:

The tennis racket bags look great, however my rifle is a fixed stock (my preference). It looks like the tennis racket bags are all around 30 inches and my WASR is 34.5".

Haven't you seen the movie "Desperado?"

LOL

A guitar case!

Like the hardshell one above. Try to find one secondhand from Craigslist or at a pawnshop or music store. A little ratty would not hurt, either, as some might think you have a crappy old guitar in that beat up case. Put some music stickers (Gibson, Fender or radio station stickers) on it, too.

I know this is bulkier than a tennis bag, but it also protects your rifle better and still does not draw much attention...especially when you're never seen wearing tennis clothes - that looks more fishy if you ask me.

Then, put your mags, ammo and range accessories in a nice backpack that looks like one a college student would use.

Thats one way to carry your AK and all its stuff and not have anyone bat an eye.

I'm with you on this one - why carry one of those cool AR/assault rifle bags that are green, black and have mag pouches that screams "I am carrying an assault rifle!" Why advertise? It could make you a potential target for robbery if people know you have a nice expensive assault rifle to steal. I am not into advertising my gun ownership...even in very pro gun Texas.

Be discreet and go with the hardshell guitar case.

Guitar case for the win.

I will recommend soft tho...a guitar case is HUGE and hard to store in your car and in your room/house...

Unless you know how to spot one....ya can't get any more discrete than putting a wolf in sheep's clothing. Hmmm....big rectangular bag...might be a gun. Hmmm...guitar case....wonder if its a Les Paul or Fender??
