Just got my GSG-AK
It is build fairly well except for I wish there was a stronger stock joint.

I didn't know it came with the synthetic stocks. I've only seen it with wooden stocks.

Where did you get it? What did it cost? How does it shoot?

Nice GSG, but man I've got a GSG5 and the screws suck. They strip out super quick. I imagine they use the same poor quality type screws in the AK. Perhaps rrages.com will come out for a screw set for the gsg ak?

Dumb question - why would one want to remove the screws on the GSG5? I don't have one and thus I just don't know. I have thought about getting one. Do you like it over all. Did you change out the stock or otherwise tacti-cool it out?

rev-arb,

How well does your mini AK shoot? Did it come with those synthetic stocks?

They sometimes start to come loose themselves (Vibrations, ect) and when you tighten them back up, the screw heads strip.

It came with the synthetic stock.....You can get the wood, you can even buy a wood upgrade kit for it. There are several other aftermarket stock options like a folder.
My local gun shop got it in. I guess it came from Davidsons. I paid 350.00 for it because I guess the box was damaged. I have not taken it out yet to shoot it. That is on the schedule for this week. Overall, it is pretty solid for a plinker, certainly nothing for combat. The tough one is going to be find a couple more mags for it. They are spendy for certain.
I have now just one more I want to add to my tacti-cool .22 collection...a Sig 522.

Nah, its not a dumb question. Seriously the screws strip out after like 3 cleanings max from what I am hearing from other owners. It is such a common problem that rrages.com offers a screw kit that gives you higher qaulity screws that use an alen wrench so you don't have to use the GSG proprietary tool. Also, if the guy sells some HK pushpins for it and I want them too as they would make breaking the gun down a bit faster.

I just got mine this week and am planning on shooting it tomorrow. I think I am gonna buy a pumpkin and shoot it.

And I plan on changing the gun to the collapsing stock. Perhaps a cheap airsoft reddot, or lol the eotech from my ar15 when I take it out. But really I just want the collapsing stock and several magazines.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why is it called a mini-AK? It looks like it shares the same dimensions as any other AK.
