PSL stock trouble

Well I finally got my stock from Centerfire after almost a year of waiting.
Now I am having a problem getting the old stock off. From what I have read it is just the two screws on the buttstock that are holding this thing in but on my PSL one of those is stripped (figures) and I can't get that out.

My other problem is the upper. I have not figured out a way to take out the wood without damaging it. Is there some special way to get these two parts off without me wanting to pull my hair out?

help please

I searched around for an answer. Closest I got to one was to use a 3/4 wrench and a padded vice for the upper. Good luck.

I don't have a PSL, but from the pics it looks to be the same format as a standard AK. Remove the gas tube, and there should be flats for an adjustable wrench on the front (muzzle) end. The wood has to be rotated around the gas tube 180 degrees and then it will just pop out. Due to the way the gas tube is designed, it will only rotate one way. You should be able to see a lip on the muzzle end of the gas tube that will let you know which way it twists.

I got it off. and it was a twist off type. However it did end up cracking due to the finish being fused to the one end. I'll post a pick of the completed package.

That's pretty sweet man.
If Ironwood would ever start production on their psl sets or at least show pictures..I'd be interested in mixing the two, a nice dark stained wood stock and grip with polymer HGs like your setup.
