It shouldn't, reflex sights are valued for their 'user friendliness'. Unlike a scope, all that needs to be seen in the reflex site is the dot.

So long as the dot is on the target, you're "locked on". Head placement is not critical.

They both count as 922r parts, but since the stock Saiga comes without a PG, adding an american one ends up being a wash, and adding a foreign one will add to your foreign parts count. Same with a muzzle device.

Still waiting for a few parts to show up. Then in a week or two i will post up pics of them both when i am done.

I wouldnt buy that stock ... but if yocan likes it .. it was an easy fix. I resent the configuration to much to put more good money into keeping it in its bastardized configuration.

poly, i posted that link to the tapco integrated pistol grip, cause i wasnt sure what yocan had thats all.

cheers.
Indeed, Bill - I was prodding Youcan to "do the right thing" instead of buying the Tapco stock. I'm glad you're doing the right thing as well.

As far as NATO/Warsaw, I'm 5' 11" and I like the shorter stock. I shoot my AR-15 one notch out from shortest and I like the AK the same way. My HD shotgun has a youth stock on it as well. I think to be able to move and shoot, it's most efficient to do so as you normally would, instead of bladed to the target. That means I need to be able to shoot and move square to the target.

My advice: Do a basic conversion. You'll be able to purchase inexpensive US made parts and you'll get an ergonomically friendly Kalashnikov pattern rifle when you're done.

If you use a Tapco T-6 (original style) butt stock, it'll extend out and be comfortable for you.

Suggested parts list:
Tapco T-6 (extendable for Yetis and Sasquatches everywhere)
Texas Ak Triggers FCG (the best you can get)
US pistol grip of your choice.
do the texas ak trigger guys have distributors that sell it online?

or is going and getting a money order and snail mail my only choice for getting this fine product?

as an aside, should i order the
Kalashnikov fire control group retainer plates

its only $5.50. i have heard you speak highly of ron yates before. If this is the best out there, and i am paying for shipping already, ya think i should have one of these bad boys thrown in also ?
